JAY A. GERVASI, JR.: Most people who come to me have suffered injuries. They have been very worried about what's going to happen to them and their families in the future. The big part of my job is to try to make them feel more comfortable with how things are going to go and try to reassure them.

The firm at Jay Gervasi, P.A., is specifically set up to handle complicated cases involving serious injuries. There's only one lawyer in the firm. And that's me. When you come to this firm, I'm the one who will be handling your case.

The top priority for me when handling cases is to get what's best for my clients. That involves both, of course, the recovery they get but also the other things that go on in their lives, including the emotional aspects of trying to handle a case.

My background on the insurance company side of things helps my clients. I'm better able to understand what insurance companies need and the things that I can do in satisfying those needs to benefit my clients. I'm motivated in the practice of law to do what's best for my clients. This comes partially from a feeling of professional pride, but mostly because I just really want to help folks and get what's best for them.
